The Xing-Xing is a specific regional name for one or more species of small Chinese apes. These are fairly recent cryptids, and may be a type of short-tailed monkey, such as a new macaque species, or a new ape or hominid such as its neighbor the Yeren. Since mostly locals have seen them so far not much is yet to be known about this animal. Hopefully with more research new information will surface about this creature.
