Yeren

The Yeren is a large Chinese hominid that is often identified with the supposedly-extinct Gigantopithecus. It is covered in reddish-brown or black fur. White specimens are not unheard of. It is usually 5 to 7 feet tall, although some specimens in excess of 10 feet have been seen. There may be two different species--A leftover gigantopicus population and the hominids that descended from it. This creature's range is close to the Yeti's, so one may be a subspecies of the other, or they both may be the same species entirely. The Yeren may also be a new species of Orangutan native to China rather than Sumatra and Borneo.
