This is an African bear or other carnivorous creature that lives in the jungle and supposedly feeds off of human brains. It has a sloping back and may have a coating of spots according to some witnesses. It is reputed to sneak into villiages and enter huts to claim its victims. It is the size of a bear but has been, at first, mistaken for a hyena by some who have seen it. It is ferocious, and often attacks without provocation. This creature may be a new bear species, a supposedly extinct one that has survived into the present, or an unidentified new or supposedly extinct hyena genus.
