Mothman

Mothman is a beast that signals disater. Wherever in North America this beast appears, tragedy soon follows. Mothman sightings have preceded the collapse of the Silver Bridge, a huge earthquake, and a number of other catastrophes. Whether it causes them or warns of them is unknown. Mothman itself is not as dangerous as the things it heralds, and it has never harmed a human, though it has chased them. It is about 7 feet tall with large wings and black skin, as well as glowing red eyes. It can fly at up to 110 miles per hour as silently as an owl. Because of this and its owlish appearance, Mothman is also known as the Bighoot.
