The Bili Ape is one of the cryptids with the most evidence pointing to its existance. These east African giant chimpanzees have left behind large ground nests, tons of footprints, dung, etc., and their pictures have been taken many times. DNA analysis has been done on the feces of these creatures, and it appears that they are a new subspecies of chimpanzee. They have the same diet as these more common apes, but they nest on the ground as gorillas do. Bili apes behave much more like gorillas than chimpanzees, and they at times walk upright. They are likely not true bipeds, however, though they may be heading in that evolutionary direction. They are under threar by gold miners in the area.
